Of course as with anything you have to weed out the rubbish. You can also search under ( also on craigslist) "gigs" and then writing.

Probably just signing up at one place will not be enough, so you would have to create multiple lines of income. That is the trick of the new era, you don't need 2 jobs to pay the bills anymore ...you need, apparently, several.

Cash Machine 101

You've heard it all before and been sucked into scams. We all tried it even though we won't admit to it.

You could try some of the websites listed below. Real companies who are hiring virtual workers. Its a good steady income. You could also do more than that and increase you earning potential. Who knows you may even make enough extra income to invest in retirement or just stick in your savings account. Wouldn't that be nice!

After spending many years on the internet, and having tried just about everything out there the one thing that has been the biggest source of income is referral marketing. A pretty simple form of marketing, but very effective and can be very lucrative. It is a huge and undermined resource waiting for the right individuals to tap into. The tools available to get referrals are mind boggling even for the pro. It seems that at every turn there is a cool, new "thing" that you need and want to get into to stay "with it". By the time you have looked at just a few of them your head is spinning. I am at the point myself where if someone asks me a question now about buying an electronic item with all these new capabilities and I am not really sure what they can all do, I tell them you will have to wait until I have "brushed up" on that information. .......you could really get lost in the labyrinth out there. It seems that the internet highway is growing so quickly that even the sharpest ones put there are having a hard time keeping up. What is Bluetooth? How can it be used, Facebook, Twitter, feeds, Podcasts...SOMEONE please explain!!!!! By the time I have finished thinking about them, let alone learning about them, my head explodes and I feel exhausted and overwhelmed...ever felt like that? There was a gentleman once in my neighbourhood standing on his porch waving a gun around and screaming...when the cops arrived he said he wanted to "Shoot his computer". I know how he feels!

One thing is for sure. You should not have to pay anything up front as far as investments are concerned, or even pay anyone for information. There is so much free information and resources. Most people don't even know about all the free software out there such as , Oscommerce Joomla and Zencart You can create an entire store with back end management for yourself for free. Many of the web hosting site offer script installation at the press of a button. If you are not sure how to do that or need some help making it look like your own you can always hire an affordable freelancer ( you set the price) at websites such as odesk, getafreelancer or Web & Programming.

So how do you set up a referral program?

You must start by making a list...and be organised. Yeah I hate that word myself.

A website is good. You can get one without ads, for free, at Free Web Hosting
You can also just sign up for a free blog page at blogger.com. It comes with push button publishing - you'll get the hang of it.

A website or blog is not a requirement but it does make life easier because now you have a place where you can refer people. Think of something interesting to write, ad some ads from companies that pay you to refer people....

Now work on your network. That's where an account at Facebook, Twitter, myspace etc will all play a huge role. How get more details at the bottom of this post.

You should also search for relevant forums so that you can post your link in your signature ( if they permit) and you can also add your link to your email by for example on yahoo clicking on mail options and then signature. You are given the option to add a message to all outgoing emails.

Here is another important trick...clock your affiliate link. At the following site you can do this easily for free addme.

1) YOUTUBE VIDEOS: If you've been to youtube.com you've seen tons of videos which incorporate a website address that is advertised in the video. A creative video relating to your website could produce hundreds even thousands of new visitors to your site.

2) PAY PER CLICK ADVERTISING: Pay Per Click (PPC) Advertising is a type of online advertising in which advertisers (i.e. you) pay for visitors on a Cost Per Click (CPC) basis. The only two I'd recommend and most popular are: http://adwords.google.com and http://searchmarketing.yahoo.com (formerly
Overture.com)

3) Kijiji.com is a free popular classified ad site that targets major cities across north america. They get tons of traffic and are a great place to post ads about your site.

4) SOCIAL NETWORKS: Social network sites such as: myspace, facebook, friendster, Xanga, MSN groups, Blogger, TypePad are just a few of the hundreds of social networks that are out there. Many of them offer free classified ad sections that you can advertise in as well as other forms of advertising.

5) MYSPACE: Myspace has a marketplace which is a classified ad section that can be advertised in for free.

6) Craigslist.com is the most searched free popular classified ad site that targets major cities across north America.

7) FACEBOOK: Facebook.com has a marketplace which is a classified ad section that can be advertised in. They also have whats called “Facebook Fliers and Fliers Pro” which is a form of pay per click advertising they offer for very low prices compared to other PPC advertising channels.

** Just remember to read the rules for each site first. example..google ads will cancel your account if they find you generating leads from a pay per click site, and google adsense is a nice source of extra income so you don't want to blow that one.

Home Office Hub - the next gold rush

There are plenty of legitimate "Work at Home" jobs out there !

If anyone has any more, real leads please feel free to post them here. I will research any ideas and if they are scams or not real they will be removed.

There are many legitimate work at home companies out there. More and more companies are looking for virtual workers, writers and clerical workers. Think of all the overhead expenses they save on by hiring real people working from a home office. Some of these jobs have a waiting list.....but as with any job a little persistence is the key.
